Nice Pocket Guide

Images Of Nice

Capital of France's illustrious Côte d'Azur, Nice is, if you'll pardon the expression, nice. The city's best known strip, Promenade des Anglais, boasts amazing views of the city and overlooks Nice's rocky beaches, making it a haven for sun worshippers. But don't worry if lying motionless on your back isn't your thing. Nice has fascinating museums, one of Europe's most charming old towns, while it is also the gateway to the rest of the Côte d'Azur, meaning both Cannes and Monaco are right on your doorstep.

nice itself is nice along the water and the city was quite beautiful, it's a very culturally rich and diverse city. it was a little rougher than we expected. There were lots of areas that we didn't feel safe walking around in at night.

Insider Tip:excercise more caution when walking around than you might a nothern european city.

Amazing city! perfect to travel all around Provence i had it as my main destination but travelled all around if you like stony beaches this is your city lovely old town

Insider Tip:Get to know the coty in one day and the next days take a cruise to St tropez , daytrip to Monaco-Montecarlo and Eze . There are buses to St Paul de Vance (take a whole afternoon) and in the morning go to the beach in Ville de franche Then go to Canne an stay over there, amazing nightlife but the old town and city is not compared to Nice, go tere if you like sandy beaches You can also stop by in your way from Nice to cannes in Antibes

    The beautiful Nice and Monaco

A beautiful city with some friendly French around the city if you are as lucky as us. Pebble beaches along the Mediterranean coast are lovely. We particularly enjoyed losing ourselves in the old town area. Wandering around the market with the locals. We also made a day trip to Monaco, love the landscape and the atmosphere in the luxurious part of France. Bus only €1 from Nice city centre to Monaco. Great value.

Insider Tip:Elevator and escalators are not very common at the area. Try to avoid heavy luggage.

The coastline is nice. Very crowded city. Old Nice is wonderful for food. The minor basillica in Old Nice is awesome too.

Nice has different atmosphere between day and night, and it's easy to go to other smaller villages or Monaco by bus. The city is suitable for school breaks as well as long-stays.
