The 2,215 kilometer long Trans-Mongolian railway runs through Russia, Mongolia and China, and crosses the Gobi Desert on its way between Ulan-Ude in Russia and Jining in China. It also passes by Ulaanbaatar in Mongolia. Rich with fine nature scenery, the whole trip takes about six days.
