MALI. Soldiers have made a coup in Mali and apparently taken control of the country, after storming Mali’s state television Thursday, international media report. The military says it is dissolving all of the country’s institutions because of to the government’s mishandling of an insurgency in the north, AP reports.
On national television, a group of about 20 soldiers were shown in fatigues crowding around a desk facing the camera. They introduced themselves as the National Committee for the Reestablishment of Democracy and the Restoration of the State, or CNRDR, according to AP.
