New stars on New York’s comedy scene

Time Out New York has devoted a large portion of its latest November issue to New York's high-quality comedy scene.

A trip to New York is not complete without a visit at one of the many city’s comedy clubs. In its November issue, travel guide magazine and app-maker Time Out has put in some effort and researched the latest trends and brightest new stars on NYC’s comedy scene.

There is quite a lot to laugh about, it turns out. Several new stars are making waiting in lines for tickets worthwhile, the magazine claims, one of which is John Mulaney, who have participated on a sitcom on Fox, improvisation comedian Natasha Rothwell, solo performer Samantha Martin and several others who are covered in the issue.

Also, for first-timers, the magazine has a tip on where to start: The Upright Citizens Brigade Theatre (see video above), which on Sundays features a rotating selection of comedy stars. Line up around 7 pm for free tickets to the late 9:30 pm show – or purchase $10 tickets weeks ahead for the early 7:30 pm show.

You’ll find the whole Time Out Comedy Coverage here.
