Moroccan man charged in US bomb plot
By admin on February 19, 2012 The plan was to bomb the US Congress building in Washington DC. A Moroccan man who allegedly believed he was working with al-Qaida as been charged with an attempted suicide bombing of the Congress, The Guardian reports.
FBI agents arrested Amine El Khalifi, of Alexandria, Virginia, near Capitol Hill on Friday. He was wearing what agents had told him was an explosive vest, the paper says on its web site.
