Want to add some flair to your travel plans? Do it like the celebrities – pick the real hot spots out of the world’s best travel destinations. Or, at least, read about them, because none of these holidays are likely to fly on a narrow budget.

Here are some of the hottest celebrity vacations right now:

Hawaii ranks high on the celebrity scale, in part because of the fact that President Obama is from there. But last year Katy Perry relaxed in Kauai, while Kanye West and Kim Kardashian showed off their love in Honolulu, the Business Insider reported. Britney Spears, Charlize Theron, Will Smith and Cameron Diaz have all paid visits to the Aloha state recently, according to the website.

Another hot spot is St. Barthelemy, where among others dancer and actress Julianne Hough was seen in full-on summer mode earlier in 2013 as she hung out with friends and did some shopping before taking a boat trip, Glamourmagazine reported.

No less inviting is Bora Bora in the French Polynesia, where reportedly Nicole Kidman, Sharon Stone, Eva Longoria and Quincy Jones have been seen spending time on white sand dunes, according to Savvysugar.com.

Others head for bustling Rio de Janeiro, among them Tom Cruise and Penélope Cruz who have relaxed in the mega-city’s sprawling resorts and hit its beaches, Savvysugar.com reports, while Madonna and Gisele Bündchen have partied in Rio’s clubs and at the world-famous Carnival.

Less impressive in comparison is perhaps Miami, Florida, where Britney Spears, Beyonce, Will Ferrell and Owen Wilson have been spotted, eDreams.com informs. The same site mentions a real classic – Ibiza, where Kate Moss, Gisele Bundchen, Tom Brady and David Villa apparently spend time.

And in March, George Clooney and his girlfriend Stacy Keibler reportedly decided to relax in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico.

Also worth mentioning, Hugh Grant vacationed with his ex Elizabeth Hurley (!) and her then-husband (!!), Arun Nayar, in the Seychelles – seven years after the pair broke up, The Daily Beast reported.
