EDITOR’S BLOG. Within 48 hours we’ll be on a plane with destination Miami, Florida. I can’t begin to tell how much I look forward to this holiday, after a long winter – that isn’t over yet – and long, hard days at work. In Florida, we’ll spend one or two days on the beach, then drive north towards the Orlando area.

The idea is pretty much this: Drive along the coast north from Miami, perhaps a stop at the giant Sawgrass Mills shopping center, continue past Fort Lauderdale, and there, somewhere, we’ll find a cheap motel. After a refreshing morning swim in the ocean, we’ll continue north to Cape Canaveral and the Space Center to look at some rockets. Then comes Orlando, where we have reservations to one of the parks, which one I canät remember at the moment. But it’s bound to be fun. After some sightseeing in Orlando, we’ll turn south again and, I hope, pass by the Lake Okeechobee on our way back. There won’t be time for Key West and perhaps not even the Everglades this time, but I think it will be a fantastic drive nevertheless.

I’ll try to keep you updated as to where we are and what’s happening – check in at travelingreporter.com/blog every now and then it you’re interested.

FLorida is the sunshine state! I always have the best time traveling there and learning something new! Lots to see and explore and honestly there never is enough time. The beaches, the everglades, the FOOD- you can’t possibly get over it. I love traveling along the coast though, I enjoy being tan! I was just in Palm Bay and loved it. Learned to sail! Stayed at the Palm Bay Hotel (www.palmbay-hotel.com), inexpensive and well worth it!
